Dr. Ashraful Huq is a Consultant Ophthalmologist working at Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute, Dhanmondi and Bangladesh Eye Care Hospital, Zigatola. His major field of practice is Phaco surgery, LASIK, CXL, Cornea transplant surgery.
Dr. Ashraf has completed his basic medical degree MBBS in 2007 and accomplished FCPS (Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons, Bangladesh) in Ophthalmology in 2015; as well as he had 4 years professional training on Ophthalmology.
He has completed fellowship in Cataract Refractive Surgery and Cornea & Anterior Segment from Bangladesh Eye Hospital & Institute, Dhaka and L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. He is trained in Phacoemulsification surgery, Glaucoma and Cornea services from renowned Eye Institutes of both Bangladesh and India. He took LASIK training from Narayana Nethralaya, India and Penetrating Keratoplasty Training from Bangalore West Lions Eye Hospital by SightLife, USA.
His working fields of interests are Cataract, Cornea, Glaucoma, LASIK and Refractive surgery.
He has several presentations to his credit at national and international conferences.
Dr. Ashraful Huq won the Best Paper Award at 14th Biannual SAARC Academy of Ophthalmology 2018 held in Nepal.
Dr. Ashraf is volunteering the posthumous eye donation awareness in Bangladesh from his medical school time. Continuing his voluntary afford and dedication, he is now serving the Bangladesh Eyesight Foundation as Honorary Executive Director which is working to establish a functional eye bank in Bangladesh.
